Zoo Lates

Thursday evenings, 4pm - 8pm, from 16 January to 6 March 2025 (excluding 6 February, Waitangi Day).

Gather your friends or whānau and experience the Zoo in a different light. It's a great chance to visit after work with mates, catch our additional keeper talks or just enjoy a stroll through the beautiful grounds in the twilight. Or book an exotic date night dinner at the iconic Old Elephant House, our chefs will be serving up an exclusive two-course Zoo Lates menu.

Valentine's Late

Friday 14 February 2025, 4 – 8pm. 

This Valentine’s Day, we will be celebrating this day of love with an R18 evening at the Zoo. Bring a date, your favourite primate, have a picnic or book our three-course Valentine's Late Dinner, and enjoy the Zoo in a different light on this adult only evening! We also have special keeper talks that delve into the weird and wonderful world of animal courtship display.

Flight School

Our Flight School inspires awe and delight as tamariki and adults alike connect with a variety of fascinating birds like galah, sun conures, African grey parakeets and macaws, and learn about their special adaptations.
