Annual Passes
Your support means the world to us, and the animals that we care for here at the Zoo and in the wild. We have extended your membership for the period that we have been closed due to COVID-19. In addition, we have extended all current memberships for the period we could not open fully up to Alert Level 3 Step 2. So, if you didn’t manage to secure a booking when we were open to members only, you won’t miss out and will still receive your full 12-months’ membership. You don’t need to contact us to receive this additional period of membership as we’ll change your end-date automatically.
Members no longer need to book in advance to visit the zoo.
Vaccine passes and face masks are no longer mandatory, but we do recommend visitors continue to wear masks indoors and outside.

At Traffic Light Orange, your non-member family and friends can come to the zoo with you. If you are arriving at the zoo together you can purchase a discounted ticket when you arrive onsite.
If you are coming separately, they will need a separate General Admission ticket that can be booked online here or purchased onsite.
We are now able to offer annual pass renewals. We highly recommend renewing only before your visit so you can make the most of your visit.
Yes, you will be able to collect your annual pass on your visit.
On your next visit come and visit the membership hub in the shop.
We are currently working on a way for members to access their membership themselves, but for now the best way is to email us at annual.passes@aucklandzoo.co.nz or call us during opening hours.
Yes, we will refund any valid tickets or vouchers that cannot be used because the holder does not have a verified My Vaccine Pass. Current members who do not have a My Vaccine Pass can either request that their membership is put on hold until My Vaccine Passes are no longer required, or a refund. The Zoo we will refund each full month remaining on a current membership (minimum one month).
Vaccine passes and face masks are no longer mandatory, but we do recommend visitors continue to wear masks indoors and outside.
Paused memberships will be automatically resumed on the 5th of May unless you visit earlier and re-activate your membership on your visit.
Your remaining time that has been put on hold will be restarted once we reactivate your membership so we suggest you reactivate your membership on your next visit.
All you need to do is pop into the membership hub on your first visit back to the zoo and we can reactivate your cards for you. By restarting your membership as you enter the zoo you will not be wasting any of the time placed on hold. We will reactivate your existing cards, so make sure to bring them along too, and if any of your cards are missing, we can issue you with a temporary pass until they are found or reprint them for the standard reprint cost of $5 per card.
