• Membership privileges are available only on presentation of a current membership pass.
  • Only those named and photographed on the membership pass can use their membership to gain free Auckland Zoo entry and discounts at Auckland Zoo and other approved places. A guest adult pass can also receive discounts.
  • Your membership pass is non-refundable and non-transferable. Guest adult passes are transferable and can be used by any adult at one time.
  • Your membership cannot be used in conjunction with Auckland Zoo Education (Conservation Learning) visits.
  • Memberships are not valid for admission after 4:30pm in summer and 3:30pm during winter hours or for evening events/private functions unless specified.
  • Other than free admission, membership benefits are subject to periodic review and adjustment at the discretion of Auckland Zoo.
  • Adults 15+ years, Senior 65+ years, Student (Valid tertiary or secondary I.D required), Child 4-14 years, Cub 0-3 years.
  • The renewal discount of 25% off the Annual Pass Membership full price is only available within 6 months of the membership’s expiry.
  • Reprint fee for lost/broken cards is $5 and replacement lanyards cost $4.

Dinosaur Pass Membership Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply specifically to members with a Dinosaur Membership Pass.

  • A Dinosaur Pass membership is available to anyone without an active Annual Pass Membership.
  • A Dinosaur Pass membership is only available for purchase until 30 June 2025 and is valid for six months (183 days) from the day of purchase.
  • A Dinosaur Pass membership cannot be renewed at the end of the membership for another six months.
  • A Dinosaur Pass membership is not available as a gift or for upgrade from a general admission ticket.
  • At the end of your Dinosaur Pass membership, you have an opportunity to purchase an Annual Pass Membership with 25% off the full price, this is the same the same discount available for renewal of Annual Pass Membership. This discount is only available within 6 months of the membership’s expiry.

Guest adult and support person passes

  • Only one guest adult pass per membership.
  • A guest adult pass must visit the zoo with a named person on the membership to gain entry.
  • The guest adult pass needs to be returned to the zoo when renewing memberships that no longer contain a guest adult pass.
  • For members who require assistance to visit the zoo, a free support person pass is given at staff discretion.
  • The support pass can only gain entry when visiting with the named cardholder who is being supported.

Auckland Zoo Terms and Conditions of entry

  • All standard Auckland Zoo Terms and Conditions of Entry apply to members. 
  • Staff has the right to refuse entry to a member if they are in violation of any of the Auckland Zoo terms and conditions of entry.

Auckland Zoo

  • The 20% discount on Zoo entry for friends and family applies to adult and child admission prices only and is redeemed by presenting your pass at ticketing.
  • 10% discount at the Zoo shop on selected products (some exclusions apply).
  • 10% discount at all of the Zoo catering outlets.
  • A 25% discount will be applied for any member that wishes to renew to a Annual Pass Membership up to 6 months after their membership has lapsed.
  • 20% discount on Zoo Experiences and Tours subject to booking availability.
  • 15% discount on Zoo Events subject to booking availability.

Partners

  • 20% discounts to SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's Aquarium applies to child or adult admission only.
  • 20% discounts to MOTAT applies to child or adult admission only.
  • Discounts to Stardome Observatory & Planetarium based on their events.
  • The discount is only valid for 30 days after the date of an Auckland Zoo visit. 
  • The discount is only valid as a like for like match between a general admission ticket and membership product. 
  • The discount can only be redeemed once per ticket order. Tickets cannot be used across multiple transactions. Any tickets that could be used for discounts that are not being discounted against the first purchase are no longer valid for the general admission ticket upgrade promotion. 
  • Online tickets are linked to the email they are purchased under, and cannot be transferred to another email address.
  • Memberships created from the upgrade promotion start from the date of redemption of the promotion.

  • The bulk purchase of Annual Pass Memberships is a promotion at the discretion of Auckland Zoo, availability and promotion terms and conditions are subject to change.
  • The bulk purchase promotion requires a minimum of 15 individual Annual Pass Memberships to receive a discount.
  • The bulk purchase discount is applied to the base product price of an individual member (adult, child, student, senior), with the scaling discount applied to the total membership offer.
  • The bulk purchase offer is not available in conjunction with any other promotion or discount.
  • One point of contact is required per bulk purchasing group.
  • Bulk purchases are only sold as single transactions, with payment being required in one lump sum before the activation and processing of codes. Payment is only accepted through Eftpos/credit onsite in the Membership Hub or Information Centre.
  • The promotion applies per purchase transaction, and any memberships missed off the initial transaction will be treated as a second purchase.
  • All bulk purchase customer details are filled in on the form provided by Auckland Zoo.
  • Group information provided to the Zoo is final, please ensure spelling and details are correct before submitting your form so everyone receives the correct code via email.
  • Membership codes will be emailed to the addresses provided within 10 working days from the date the bulk payment is received by Auckland Zoo.
  • Memberships purchased as part of this promotion can only be redeemed online through the membership portal. No redemption of bulk purchase memberships is available onsite.
  • Your membership card and lanyard can be collected from the Membership Hub at the Zoo once your information and photos have been uploaded online.
  • All purchases are final. No refunds will be offered for any passes purchased as part of a bulk purchase. 
  • Membership codes are valid for one year from date of purchase.
  • Memberships start from the date of redemption of the membership code on the Auckland Zoo website.
