Great news – Auckland Zoo is #twinning with the birth of two Emperor tamarin babies!
Proud parents Ladino and Rose are an experienced hand at this, after raising their first baby last year. Just two weeks old, the twins are exploring their rainforest habitat as wee ‘baby backpacks’ and taking in the sights and sounds.
The whole family have been sharing the parenting duties including big sister Isla. Our primate team leader Amy says this is great news as this will help her to become a successful mum later on.
Now that Auckland is at Alert Level 1, we hope you’ll all get a chance to visit them soon. We’ll keep you updated as the twins grow and progress!
