Love is all around at Auckland Zoo this Valentine’s!

We’re celebrating with a special Valentine’s Late evening (14 Feb, 4-8pm) for those 18 years+ and giving everyone who pre-books their tickets by 13 February the opportunity to be in to win the ultimate Valentine’s date night package.

Valentine’s Late is all about enjoying the beauty and life of the Zoo on a summer evening with your partner, date, or pals and having a delicious dining experience. Plus you’re invited to join us for a walk on the wild side with our keepers, who’ll be presenting fabulously fascinating talks at locations throughout the Zoo that delve into the weird and wonderful world of animal courtship display!

Purchase your Valentine’s Late tickets before 4pm on 13 February, and you automatically go into the draw to win an evening of wining and dining for two people valued at over $250.

Our prize package includes a beautiful three-course meal and complimentary glass of bubbles for two at the Old Elephant House restaurant, and a Zoo chaperone to meet you and take you to your dining location.

Entry deadline and details:

Entries for this Valentine’s Late ultimate date night package close at 4pm on Thursday 13 February. To help us, we ask that you include your best contact phone number when you book with us online or onsite at the Zoo. The winner will be notified by 4.30pm on Thursday 13 February and needs to respond to us by 9am, Friday 14 February to claim their prize. If the prize is not claimed, we will redraw at 10am, Friday 14 February and contact the new winner.

Please note: This competition is for ticket purchasers only so is not open to people with an annual pass membership (who are able to enjoy attending this Valentine’s Late and all our general Zoo Lates through to 6 March for free!)

Terms & Conditions

  • The total Valentine’s Late prize package is for two people and is valued at over $250.
  • Every Valentine’s Late ticket that is pre-booked (either online or on-site at Auckland Zoo by the entry deadline of 4pm, Thursday 13 February) will go into the draw with a chance to win.
  • The winner will be notified by 4.30pm on 13 February and needs to respond to us by 9am, Friday 14 February to claim their prize. If the prize is not claimed, we will redraw at 10am, Friday 14 February and contact the new winner.
  • Winners will need to be at the Zoo by 5:30pm on 14 February to redeem their prize. For practical reasons, late-comers past 5.55pm won’t/can’t be accepted.
  • Winners will be met by a chaperone at a pre-determined location to be taken to their dining location.
  • Walk-ups and ticket purchasers on the Valentine’s Late day (14 February) are not eligible to win this prize.
  • Ticket purchasers of the special Valentines Day dinner experience at Old Elephant House are not eligible to win this prize.
  • Valentine’s Late is an ‘adults only’ event and tickets are only valid for adults (18 years and older), but our general Zoo Lates evenings are open to everyone!
  • This competition is for Valentine’s Late ticket purchasers only so is not open to our annual membership passholders who are able to enjoy attending this Valentine’s Late and all our general Zoo Lates through to 6 March for free!
